Camp Counselors

Counselors assume a leadership position as you will become role models to the campers, so we hold you to high standards. Counselors participate and facilitate activities, ensuring safety, leading group discussions, and fostering social and personal development. Additionally, our counselors are responsible for creating a positive and inclusive camp environment where campers feel supported and encouraged to grow. Counselors must be at least 18 years or older and be available to work all weeks of camp, including training and camp clean up.

  • Counselor Training- June 3-6, 2024

  • High School Overnight Camp: June 9-14, 2024

  • Middle School Overnight Camp 1: June 16-21, 2024

  • Day Camp: June 24-28, 2024

  • Elementary Overnight Camp: July 7-12, 2024

  • Middle School Overnight Camp 2: July 14-19, 2024

  • Intermediate Overnight Camp: July 21-26, 2024

  • Camp Clean Up- July 27-30, 2024

Counselors-in-training

CITs are responsible for participating in camp activities, behind-the-scenes work, and assisting counselors in working with campers. Regardless of the level of responsibility, CITs are held to high standards. You will earn service hours and gain experience working with youth in grades 1-8.

CITs must be entering their junior or senior year of high school. As a CIT you are required to attend camp during High School Week as a camper-this is your main form of training!

CIT Required Required Dates

  • CIT Group Interview- March 2, 2024 (7:00-9:00 pm) or March 3, 2024 (2:00-4:00 pm)

  • CIT Training- June 5-6, 2024 (Includes First Aide training if you are not currently certified)

  • Day Camp: June 24-28, 2024 (All CITs will be asked to volunteer during Day Camp if they are available)

CITs will be assigned one or two other camp weeks based on their availability

  • Middle School Overnight Camp 1: June 16-21, 2024

  • Elementary Overnight Camp: July 7-12, 2024

  • Middle School Overnight Camp 2: July 14-19, 2024

  • Intermediate Overnight Camp: July 21-26, 2024

Optional

  • Camp Clean Up- July 27-30, 2024

Head counselors

Head Counselors are camp leaders usually with the most experience on the team. Head Counselors plan, coordinate, and facilitate all camp activities while providing guidance and leadership to the surrounding counselors and campers. Head Counselors hold accountable the standards set in place by our directors on campus at all times, ensuring safety, professionalism, and community. Head Counselors must be at least 18 years or older and be available to work all weeks of camp, including pre-camp meetings, CIT Interviews, training, and camp clean up.

Assistant Camp Director

The Assistant Camp Director oversees the entire camp operation and staff to ensure it runs smoothly, safely, and effectively for all campers. The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for developing programs and activities, recruiting and supervising staff, ensuring camper safety and well-being, managing communication with parents/guardians, building relationships with the community, handling emergencies, and evaluating camp programs and staff performance.  The Assistant Director must be at least 21 years or older and be available to stay on campus throughout the summer.

Camp Director

The Camp Director oversees the entire camp operation from both the administrative side and camp side working closely with the Assistant Camp Director to ensure our standards are being maintained. The Camp Director is responsible for recruiting and supervising staff, managing the budget, managing enrollment and payment, assisting with camper registration, and ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Camp Nurse

Our camp nurse is responsible for providing healthcare services and first aid to campers and staff members. The Camp Nurse administers medications, treats minor injuries and illnesses, and monitors the overall health and safety of all individuals at camp. The Nurse must obtain at minimum, a CNA degree or EMT certification.
